Reasons for selling used ISO tanks all over the world

selling used ISO tanks
ISO tank container is a type of multifaceted steel tank that is used for marine transportation of all kinds of liquids and gases in bulk. These tanks are designed and manufactured in accordance with international safety and performance standards and are approved to carry a wide range of hazardous and non-hazardous liquids. Therefore, buying and selling used ISO tanks all over the world is done. These types of tanks are placed horizontally on an iron chassis and can be temporarily placed on a trailer, truck or ship. One of the advantages of this type of tank is the ability to carry and deploy in a small environment, as well as their reasonable price. selling used ISO tanks

Uses of ISO Tank:

Used ISO tanks are selling used ISO tanks all over the world for the purpose of transporting various liquids. Some of these cases are mentioned below. 1- Carriage of dangerous petrochemical products and gases 2- Sea shipping white spread 3- Carrying all kinds of base oils 4- Carriage of hydrocarbons and petroleum derivatives 5- Carrying RPB 6- Carrying RGO

ISO tank loading capacity (based on tons):

The loading capacity of the ISO tank container is up to 23,000 kilos, but in the case of some materials, it is not possible to load with the maximum capacity due to the production of gas and the increase in volume due to moving from the origin to the destination. Failure to pay attention to this point will cause the cargo to overflow from the ISO tank and discharge it from the ship, and in severe cases lead to explosion or fire. Therefore, before loading materials into the ISO tank; the sender must send the product’s MSDS file to the company to determine the loading capacity according to the instructions entered and the relevant expert’s opinion.

Sales of used ISO tanks around the world and their prices:

The price of a new ISO tank container and the price of a second-hand ISO tank container are different in international markets. When selling used ISO tanks all over the world, the pricing of these tanks is based on the type of container and its use, as well as the equipment used in it. There are many reputable companies that operate in this field of buying and selling used ISO tanks all over the world. By referring to the website of these companies, you can get the price of the ISO tank container. Choosing the type of ISO tank should be done according to the needs and according to the desired material. The prices of these tanks in global markets range from $90,000 to $40,000, which can vary depending on the features, brand, and country of design of ISO tank containers when selling used ISO tanks all over the world.

Components of ISO Tank:

An ISO tank is made up of different components. 1- Upper airline valve: This valve is used to discharge nitrogen, discharge the pressure inside the tank during discharge, discharge the heater caused by loading to prevent explosion, and also test the pressure of the tank. 2- Coated tank: The outer shell of the tank has an insulating coating and the inner shell of the tank has a metal coating. Covers are often made of plastics reinforced with glass fibers (fiberglass) or aluminum. 3- Bottom discharge equipment: Tanks may be emptied or loaded through bottom discharge equipment. Therefore, they have multiple valves to prevent liquid leakage. These valves are for when the lower external equipment is accidentally damaged and there is a possibility of liquid leakage. 4- ISO tank frame: The ISO tank frame is made with detailed specifications provided by the International Standard Organization (ISO 6346) and other regulatory bodies. 5- CSC license plate contains tanker information: CSC license plate contains tanker information and its important technical specifications. The date of periodical tests and technical tests performed on ISO tank are among these information. 6- PV safety valve: The PV safety valve (pressure/vacuum) is opened to release excessive pressure in the tank or to allow air to enter the tank in case of excessive vacuum. 7- ISO tank manhole door: This is the entrance door of ISO tank for loading liquids. It is also for people to enter the ISO tank for inspection, cleaning and repair of the ISO tank. 8- Operator’s access path: This path is designed so that the loading and unloading operator can move on the ISO tank. 9- Temperature display: The thermometer continuously measures the temperature of the contents of the tank.

Advantages of using ISO Tank:

ISO tank structure is a combination of container and tank. In a way, it is like a 20-foot container in external dimensions, but the way of loading and unloading works like a tank. Liquids are transported in three ways. The first method is to transport with barrels and send with containers and container ships. The second method used to transport liquids; it is transported in bulk and by a bulk tank ship. Transporting with ISO tanks and container ships is also the third method of moving all kinds of liquids. But in the case of gases, only two methods of movement are possible. Gases can be transported with ISO tanks and container ships or in bulk with bulk tank ships. Sending bulk cargo by tank ship has special conditions and can be done in large volume. In this method, there must be facilities for loading, unloading and storing liquid bulk cargo in the port of destination and origin. Considering that not all ports have these facilities; the best, most convenient and most economical way to ship liquids and gas in bulk is to use an ISO tank.

Buying and selling second-hand ISO tanks:

Due to the fact that these tanks are used to carry liquid and are generally working without interruption and are constantly facing all kinds of bumps and abnormal conditions on the roads. Therefore, they are of high quality. An ISO tank should have less than 1% deviation per day. Therefore, the quality of welding, various non-destructive tests, and the selection of the type and thickness of construction materials in these tanks are of special importance. When buying and selling used ISO tanks all over the world, these things must be taken into consideration and the health of the tank must be ensured. Because if the tank needs repairs and the fault is in the internal tank, the tank must be completely separated to fix the fault, and this process is similar to the steps of building a new tank, which is very expensive.
